Talent, Experience & Knowledge

On June 1, 1994, Jeff Redmon, Troy Tomlingson and Jimmy Wingfield formed a team and started RTW Industrial Maintenance, Inc. From years of field experience, they learned the refractory trade working at various manufacturing facilities throughout the mid-west. Each of the owners brought a special talent to the new company with Jeff meeting with potential clients preparing bids, Troy serving as general foreman on job sites, and Jimmy facilitating maintenance of equipment. In the early years of RTW Industrial Maintenance, Inc., the founders chose to focus on the Power Industry working in as many as 32 power plants covering 5 states in the Midwest.

As the reputation of the company grew based on work performance, opportunities became available in the Aluminum Industry including the service of primary aluminum production, as well as secondary aluminum facilities. In 2001 the founders chose to rename the company to RTW Refractory, Inc. in order to better reflect the core services of the company. RTW Refractory, Inc. began focusing the company direction to service facilities in Power Generation, Primary Aluminum Smelting, Steel Manufacturing, and Secondary Aluminum operations.
